While out walking Ruby I did a bit of street photography.
These are some youths in Arnold.
The background of the image is a little cluttered and distracting. I think the furniture of the charity shop behind the youths is a little blown out and I should have tried to tone it down. Anyway, I hope the image lives up to it's title.
I won't comment any further other than to say...why do youths in the UK walk around with their hands down there trousers / tracky bottoms / shorts ???
Maybe they're worried it'll fall off if they don't keep hold of it! ;o)
I'm guessing there's not a great deal of excitement in Arnold for a bunch of young lads? They look a bit lack-lustre and bored. Great lighting and capture of lads loitering languidly :o)
Brilliant street shot Phil (and Ruby) I have often wondered that very question, along with why do the kids stand in the street wearing nothing but boxers?
@tashy thanks Tashy, glad you like, as for taking the shot, I didn't really do much composition , just a quick lift of the camera point and check the frame was filled and then 'click'. I think they were too busy loitering to notice a middle aged guy with his dog, camera and bag of dog paraphernalia
They do look bored out of their minds poor things ! I like your use of the rather old fashioned word youth because that exactly describes them !! Great lighting & shadows! To their credit they do look very clean & tidy !
Perfect catch of the "hanging out" shot of our youth. This could have been taken in Seattle...same stance and clothing! Ha. I love the area of clutter around them. Great street shot.
