lifebuoy by phil_howcroft

lifebuoy

A beach picture would not be complete without a lifebuoy.

I don't know if this image is a bit similar to the board walk image from a few days ago (well it is only a few metres away from the boardwalk).

Anyway I decided selective colouring worked best here to emphasise the lifebuoy.

One thing that strikes me is how high it is. I assume the pole easily pulls down / out of the sand to allow easier access.

Hope you like the image.

More ......errr.......beach, sky, sea, sand, clouds sky images to come ...well 3 actually .....and a cracking image and story of Mahon airport to finish off with :)
Have you got a lifeboy...
nice reminder of an old advert... good shot phil

Phil - Shot like this it is certainly almost iconic, and you commentary chimes in nicely with that sentiment.
