Sanvitalia - Inca (still doing well four months later)

Sanvitalia - Inca, little flowers growing in one of our garden tubs.

I first photographed this flower in June this year.....

Four months on and the tiny little flowers still look rather beautiful.

I've done two flowers this time using the macro zoom setting on my little panasonic. The 'tinyness' (is tinyness a word !!!) of the flowers and the shallow DOF means that the right hand side flower (that is slightly on a different plane) has become a little soft.

Anyway, I'm well impressed with the longevity of these little flowers....they have brightened up our patio all summer and into autumn :)
certainly have held their colours and shape - great shot Phil - I love the Lumix macro - it's a neat little box of tricks - don't know what I'd do without mine!!

Fab stuff Phil - it's because you've given them lots of care & attention!

Your garden must be paradise Phil. These are very lovely. I like the shallow dof.
