I Picture Framed one of my Images with the help of my little assistant !

Struggling for decent pictures to post now it's dark (I keep saying that ..keep repeating it...am I repeating myself too much?!?)

Anyway I had one of my fave pics from our summer holiday to Menorca printed (link to pic below)...printed by Photobox

http://365project.org/phil_howcroft/365/2011-08-29

I bought a frame from Ikea and mounted the picture in the frame.

I had a little assistant to help me (or at least keep a 'whippet eye' on me).

The end result can be seen in this image. I sit next to Ruby on the settee to do my 365 ..she has a wide array of dog blankets in various colours :) ...I sometime have trouble typing cos she snuggles up to me !!!

Anyway I think at this point she is sort of saying ...oh no he's got that damn camera out again !!! I cheated a bit by calling her name as I clicked the shutter.

The image is a tad grainy because it's hand held with no flash !

Still running behind on my days (I keep saying that ..keep repeating it...am I repeating myself too much?!?)

The frame now hangs in our hall, replacing a picture I took a few years ago of a fishing trawler coming into the harbour at Ciutadella de Menorca ...followed by a load of seagulls...a 'contre jour' shot !!!
It looks beautiful!

The framed print is awesome, Phil! Good job and a very nice photo of your assistant with it! LOL! Go ahead and repeat all you think you need to! I don't mind. =) As far as "dark"... open the cabinets, closets, drawers and fridge! You might be surprised what kind of pics you can get out of those!

So I'm not the only one being challenged to take photos with being inside at work during most of the daylight hours!

great shot of a great shot! well worthy of a pride of place! Ruby looks teeny weeny...I know she's a whippet but I always imagine her being bigger! Maybe it's because she reminds me of our Milly who is a (for a female) large greyhound! I'm just thanksful of light airports at the moment - feels like I've not seen daylight for weeks!

That framed photo looks so good in it's frame, I think it gives a lot of punch being in B&W. What have you written underneath , just where it as taken etc ? You could pay big money for a print like that in the shops !! Juliette is right Ruby looks tiny & so black !!! ( but very cute!! )

A wonderful shot, Phil - you should be very proud. It looks great and I'm sure many people would be glad to have it hanging on one of their walls.

That looks great Phil!! Looks like we are keeping Photobox in business. I've just done our photo calendar - much more flexibility this year but still a useless 'preview' so a couple aren't quite centred how I'd like & I just had a load of Christmas cards done as well.

@happypat thanks Pat, the writing is the title of the image and who took it ........it reads...... 'Under The Boardwalk : Photography By Phil Howcroft'

@judithg thanks Judith, I am thinking of doing a Photobox photobook, but you have to upload shed loads of imaged first and their interface / software seemed very clunky and slow

@phil_howcroft Much better than previous years but I'm going to try Blurb for my 365 photos - Photobox is much more expensive & in previous books the photos are quite grainy.

I really liked this shot. Glad to see you framed it for your enjoyment and anyone who comes to visit. This should be seen as it was a great shot.
