St. Marys Church Lamp by phil_howcroft

St. Marys Church Lamp

This is a lamp that hangs by the front entrance to St. Mary's Church, Arnold Nottingham.

You can just about see the lamp in this photo

I noticed the lamp as I took Ruby on her lunch time walk. It was a grey damp miserable day, with very little light, but the lamp and light seemed to be shouting out for a photo.

After we'd been around the Park, I walked through the church grounds to shoot this image. I took about 4 shots and this was the first one. A bit of auto levels and contrast adjustment in PSE.
Nice lighting

really like this - love nice lanterns - especially outside churches, hate it when they put the bog standard council things up! Nicely composed
