Sunday Morning Football by phil_howcroft

Sunday Morning Football

A scene probably replicated all across the land......Sunday morning football.

This is the 'greens' versus the 'reds' on Arnold St. Mary's recreation park, Arnold, Nottingham

Shot with Whippet by my side...Ruby was keen to join in as she recently discovered that full size footballs are fantastic to play with and rip !

I wish I'd stood a few steps back as then I'd have got both 'goalposts' in the frame , as it is I've got a missing post on the far goal !

Anyway this was Ruby's second walk to this location 'today'. We had a run on the park in the morning as we were the only 'players' on the field.

You can get some nice autumn mist when you are here 'very early' as it lingers in the dip !

Three good things about Sunday:

1 Sunday was a beautiful autumnal day.
2 Did lots of gardening
3 Four walks for Ruby (an additional one mid afternoon, to do an 'urban credit crunch Arnold shot ......failed though as two cars were parked in the way of my planned shot !)
Beautiful

Parked cars ruin many a shot don't they? The red & green jerseys stand out very well on the football field & a nice action shot of the goalie!!
Ruby does very well for walks!! Do you see @whippiteer is back?

Monty embarrassed me hugely by 'joining in' with an official kids football coaching session on the park. Please whisper,'4 walks'! That mist shot is gorgeous. I'd done some of my best mist shots by this time last year - haven't seen any yet - I'm going to have to tell Adam he can't go on the bus as I think it was the school run that got me good material....

@judithg thanks Judith, the mist shot was on my mobile phone ! If I was up earlier on Sunday morning for the first walk I might have caught it !

@busylady thanks Judith :)

@andycoleborn Andy, I liked Owen Coyle, but he seemed to be a bit 'keegan-esque' in his tactics...all out attack, rousing speeches, but not much tactical nous !

I went back to look at your earlier shot. It is really lovely. Today's picture has a freshness about it that makes you want to walk briskly.
