New Years Eve Bubbles by phil_howcroft

New Years Eve Bubbles

My youngest daughter bought us a 'posh bottle' of Moët & Chandon for Christmas.

We had it last night to see in the New Year with some "Mediterranean Sea Bass" (a home made Phil recipe)

Watched the fireworks from the bedroom window at midnight (we are perched on a hill so get a decent skyline over parts of Nottingham)

Watched Jules Holland's "Hootenanny" on BBC2 ........I thought it was OK....my wife thought it was rubbish !!!

Cool

I was just thinking 'posh'!! Graham Norton wasn't bad! Nigel & I went into town for an early cinema viewing and a fantastic Chinese meal and were quite astounded at 9.30 by the number of police and ambulances and the city centre church being used as a 'safe refuge'. Looked like they were expecting a war down there!

@judithg ha ha Judith ...we watched Graham until Jules came on....I liked the "Les Mis" bits....but missed his "red chair".... the red chair is always the best bit of the show !
