Backlit Amaryllis Petals

This is the Amaryllis I photographed last week.

It's been demoted to the kitchen windowsill now as it's on it's last legs.

The light from the kitchen window is illuminating the leaves from the back, which makes for a 'nice...ish' 'colour and patterns' shot

I smiled at the idea of a demotion to the kitchen. I'm sure it continues to brigthen the corner where it is, as the old hymn says.

@allie912 thanks allison, it does brighten the kitchen, but it is not up to 'prime location' of the lounge ....it's been replaced by some daffodil bulbs that are in a nice basket !

The light from behind really brings out the detail in those petals, and the colour is just stunning!

I move my plants around too but mine are in prime place in the kitchen & get demoted to a darker place where not seen as much. Lovely light behind those tunnel of petals.

@tashy thanks tashy i did boost the saturation by about 10% in GIMP post processing !
