Got up, walked Ruby, cut the grass (I thought I'd done my last cut a couple of weeks ago but it's grown so rapidly I had to do another one).
Nipped into Arnold, bought some "Wilko anti bacterial wipes" for my desk and keyboard at work....£1-00
Had some lunch
Bill came round at midday to drive to Bolton.
Motorway was busy, arrived in Bolton at 2.45 pm rather than 2 pm, dashed to football ground and sat in my seat as the game kicked off.
Match the same as last week, drab and dull, Bolton score first but soon concede an equaliser...1-1 with Ipswich Town
Drive home OK, clear roads, home by 7pm, had a 2 hour football moan with Bill on the way home.
Jane had the tea in the oven, I served out. A bottle of Rioja between us, saw 2nd half of strictly, followed by X-Factor, BBC News, MOTD (Saturday's football highlights to none UK readers) and Championship football. Then Bed ! Phew !!!!!!!
Oh and the clematis plants in my garden are still flowering (see above)
Not that busy Phil - you sat down all afternoon at the football match! Tea made when you got home, evening by the telly - not all bad! Well done on the clematis.
Blimey - no messing about for you then! Nigel ended up diverting around Nottingham on Friday night (Birmingham to Middlesborough) but there was another accident just north of Nottingham and then another on the third alternative route... Nightmare!
Fav Photo Phil really enjoyed your story I too watched MOD but this morning I know where you are coming from about the grass last weekend I sheared our grass down as too wet to mow the back needs a cut as well but looked at the front this Morning it needs shearing again
