This is the urban bit of Basford I discovered last week. Shot while on my lunchtime walk on my android mobile phone and edited on my mobile phone too !
The phone has struggled with the bright light at the end of the tunnel / bridge, but other than that it's not done too bad.
The area looks a bit threatening, but in the two times I've been down there, I've seen an old lady feeding some birds and a man walking his dog.
I think it's the graffiti making it look a rougher area than it is...some see beauty there but I don't like it in these sort of places. Seems to be more of an art statement in a street in a city for some reason.
@happypat actually Pat it is a bit daunting walking down there....there's only one way in and out ...it's behind the church that i shot with a similar fuzzy border back in the late summer
We have a place exactly like that too! I found focusing on the bright light with the camera for the settings, you could see more at the other end of the tunnel! Glad that is all you have seen down there!
This is a great shot Phil, really atmospheric and quite fascinating to look at. Like the bit about the old lady feeding the birds and the man with his dog - gives it character.
@judithg thanks judith...i think you are right...i did not feel comfy walking down there....i will avoid it in future...besides i'm pushing to get under the bridge and back to my desk in the 30 mins walk !
