Backlit Claire

My daughter Claire nipped round to see us the other night.

The sun was low and streamed through the front window.

This is Claire shot against the backlit light.

She is sharing a joke with my wife.

There's a bit of blown out light against Claire's neck, but other than that the exposure is good.

Edit in GIMP, with a crop and G'MIC filter of a Polaroid monochrome film.

I think this is one of your very best photos Phil......?Hard to get back light but to still see such clear facial features don't you think? Claire looks a beautiful & striking girl, she will be well pleased with this I think. One for a frame on the grand piano I think! Black & white is perfect for this shot.
