Gedling Country Park In Infrared (ish)

We went for a walk here just before our holidays and revisited it this Sunday

It's a brand new country park built on the slag heaps and surrounding countryside of the former Gedling Colliery

There are several miles of pathways in the park and some great views over the Trent Valley and onto Mapperley Top .

The local council should be applauded for opening such a venture. Ohhh one minute, it's not opened yet, but people can get into the area by squeezing through gaps in fences.

Converted to mono in GIMP / G'MIC with an infrared film filter

Worth a view large if you have time

Lovely clouds and textures, great contrasts.
