Admiring the view

A couple and their dog sitting on a bench at Gedling Cuuntry Park, admiring the view over towards Mapperley Top.

Well perhaps only the "Chris De Burgh lady" is enjoying the view, as there's a bit of bonding going on between the man and his dog :)

A grab shot with my 450D / 50mm lens as we took an afternoon walk 'on top of Gedling' in the almost warming early afternoon sun.

A crop and some "auto dynamic range" using G'MIC in GIMP.

I'm quite pleased with this in that it captured a man and his dog moment

I've just done a sunset picture and it's damp and freezing now !
Absolutely love this, Phil. A fav for sure. The wonderful perspective, the perfect DOF, and the charming family dynamic captured in a single moment. Wouldn't it be nice if you could find this couple (trio) again and give them this masterpiece.

Dogs always get the most attention in any relationship I reckon! The poor woman is probably used to it!! A fabulous view to make up though....she is taking it all in whereas he is wasting the moment....very clear shot Phil!

I love this capture Phil. I love the interaction between the man and his dog and the way it almost looks like SC with the red in the woman's coat. What a great view! Well done!! FAV for me.

Brilliant shot taking in 2 different aspects - the view which is beautiful and the human aspect with the couple and the dog.

That's a sweet candid, nicely composed and great use of contrasting tones to add depth to the shot and weight to the main subject.
