Nottingham Market Square always seems to have an event happening, albeit all the vents seem to involve a fun fair !
At the moment there is the "Nottingham Eye". A giant big wheel .
This is my interpretation of the wheel. shot against a fluffy cloud. Post processed in GIMP, auto levels, GMIC Kodak Infra Red film emulation, contrast adjustment and a bit of cloning out of a tree branch on the left hand side of the frame.
@thegrumpyhermit cheers grumpy, we took a ride when it first appeared several years ago , but due to it's position, you are no higher than the windows of John Lewis's cafe (worth buying a coffee and making your way to the end of the restaurant to enjoy the skyline vista)
@hippiechick13 hippie , what can i say but a big thank you for the fave :)
Excellent composition, Phil. Love the B&W, the sharp lines of the wheel in contrast to the puffy cloud shape. Everything about this is fabulous. A fav for sure.
Great one of the wheel. Glad got time to take some quick snaps. Oh well won't be anymore but as you say always something to photo in the square! Got a couple more to process.
I shot the same wheel a couple of weeks ago http://365project.org/thegrumpyhermit/365/2015-02-07
but still haven't bothered to take a ride.
