We went to a steampunk picnic at Bestwood Country Park this afternoon.
Lots of steampunks descended upon the disused Bestwood Colliery Winding House grounds for a get together.
It was too good an opportunity to miss, so Jane myself and Ruby went along. Jane to people watch and myself to grab a few shots.
All the steampunks were willing sitters for portraits. I took 90 shots (about 80 or so steampunks shots), so expect a few to appear on this weeks postings.
This lady doesn't make it into my new 100 strangers series, because as part of the flickr groups guidelines , you are meant to find a bit of info' about your strangers. I didn't have a chit chat with this lady, so she doesn't make it.
The 450D did a good job here with pin sharp eyes , and fabulous detail
The goggles are well placed Phil. I have heard of steam punk but no idea what it is really! Your lady looks a cross between a Japanesegeisha girl & a Victorian motor cyclist! Must have been fun!
Stunning quality of detail in your portrait of this stunning lady. I was about to ask if she is the first in a new portrait series and then I read why not. A shame but sure you'll have lots more opportunities.
