An elderly gentleman and his dog paying their respects at the War Memorial in Arnot Hill Park, Arnold, Nottingham
Today is Remembrance Sunday in the UK. I did think of doing a monochrome shot with the red poppies colour popped, but thought the colour shot works well
The gentleman saw me taking his picture, so I went over to him and had a little chat with him. His dogs is called Brett and is partial to chasing squirrels around the park :)
I was going to ask him to be part of my stranger project but decided to pass on the opportunity as I felt I'd already got one shot out of him in this one.
Impressive and a great shot to commemorate the day. Sunday was Commemoration Day for us too. A ceremony is held in Floriana where the top people (President, Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, Ambassadors ect) take part and lay wreaths. My brother was there carrying the colours of the now defunct King's Own Malta Regiment.
A lovely and apt shot for the day. Brett looks like he could be a cousin of Jinks. I must get back to my strangers' project - far too many busy folk in Glasgow!
@happypat you are right pat, the picture tells its story nicely pat
