Melissa

This is Melissa, who visited Arnold and District Camera Club on Monday evening as part of our Model night,

We had two studio setups in the room

A studio lighting setup whereby your camera flash triggers the studio lighting and you shoot in manual, using whatever ISO, shuttter speed and apeture you think will get the best results.

An LED setup, where we had some LED lights (really good btw) and you just shoot with whatever settings you want on your camera, metering from your camera

This is the LED setup and I like it because we only get one catchlight in the eyes.

Edited in Darktable and then a mono conversion in GIMP.

Pretty portrait! Great focus on her eyes.

Super portrait capture. Super fav. I wish I had a fraction of your skills in taking shots like this.

@granagringa thank you :)

@ivan you are right ivan :)

@sangwann dione, it is easy to do , choose your ISO speed, set aperture priority to a quite wide aperture , spot focus on the eyes and let the camera do the rest :)

@lynnz thank you for your visit and kind words :)

@kwind I always spot focus on the eyes
