First rhubarb crop of the year

We have some Rhubarb in our garden, given to us by a neighbour about 20 years ago.

We get 4 or 5 crops from it each year.

I picked some on Sunday and got Jane to record the moment.
It was delicious with some custard.

Edited in Darktable, with the selective colouring done in GIMP

Great for SC - we have had so much rhubarb this season! It dies down then comes again. The best vegetable to grow! . "Rhubarb is an ancient plant traced back to China in 2700 BC. It was used for medical purposes as a laxative, to reduce fever and cleanse the body."
