Always a good night, although I feel easier on the street photographing strangers , rather than photographing models under studio lighting.
This is Mollie, who works at an up market hair salon in Arnold.
Bob and Verity, two of our camera clubs most experienced and skilled studio photographers helped me with this shot, Bob set the lighting up (his own lights) and Verity suggested the pose.
The pose is the classic portrait style pose that you might have seen in a promotion poster for the lead lady in a film.
Edited in Rawtherapee and GIMP and shot on my Canon 60D
Lucky you to have had this beauty posing for you, Phil. I hope you behaved in front of the other club members. Your portrait shots are always gorgeous. This one is great in b&w. Fav.
@quietpurplehaze you are right haze, street portraits have a certain rawness and honesty about them :)
@sangwann thanks Dione, I don't always feel at ease doing studio style work, I much prefer the street, we do run our camera club shoots very professionally :)
The emphasis on her eyes is nice and the b/w works well. Nice one.
