Bolton Wanderers Supporters Club NORWAY branch !

I thought I travelled a long way from Nottingham to Bolton to watch the Wanderers, but these men are part of a 29 group of Norwegian Wanderers, who travelled from Norway to watch the game today.

I struck up a conversation with the tall man in the picture and asked him why they followed the Wanderers.

"Why ?" he said "because we can"

He's supported the Wanderers for over 20 years and this group had travelled from Stavanger.

The Wanderers had quite a few Scandinavian players about 20 years ago so I assume that may have been a reason.

Unfortunately Bolton let them down by losing 2-1 to Queens Park Rangers

Shot with my Canon 450D 50mm against the stadium wall,

The scarves they are wearing are special Norway / Bolton scarves
I love the colors and the warm smiles. Great fun!

Staunch supporters of the Wanderers from abroad meet a staunch Wanderers supporter from Nottingham, and the latter has a great camera ready to go into action. I have made friends with a man from Gozo (that is Malta's sister island) who has for many many years been a supporter of Stoke City.

They look so happy - this was before the game?

Somehow I don't think they would mind too much that they lost, they look far too cheerful

What a cheery looking bunch. Just hope they enjoyed themselves.
