This is Jackie who I met in Nottingham's Matket Square on Sunday.
How I met Jackie is a story in itself. I was walking across the square towards the council house and I saw Tracey, a photographer I know. When I say know, I actually mean who I follow on various social media sites. I'd never met Tracey before. As I walked over to Tracey she recognised me too and gave me a big hug. Tracey was with Jackie and had been photographing her for some work she was doing for Framework a homeless charity. Tracey assumed I knew Jackie but soon realised I didn't.
Not wanting to miss out on an opportunity for a stranger photo I quickly asked Jackie if she would be one of my strangers . I photographed Jackie against the backdrop of the council house.
Jackie does voluntary workfor two organisations, the Beeston and Nottingham Canalside Heritage Centre and the Nottingham Museums. She also has two paid jobs too, so she is a very busy lady.
I thanked Jackie for her time and we returned to Tracey who was also photographing her wife,
Thanks for being stranger 146 Jacke

What I would call a "genuine face " no unnecessary make up - but there she is with a steady gaze in her eyes and a shy uncertain smile - no frills but a genuine person ! Nicely done PHIL ! Fav
Another perfect portrait....I really like the interest in the background on this one...the street and the color echoing the color of her shirt. Good depth of field; any clearer and I don't think it would have worked!
