Nottingham held it's annual Saint Patrick's Day Celebrations today.
It is a good event to photograph, especially for street photographers.
Each year an Irish county is invited to lead the parade through the streets of Nottingham.
This year it was County Down leading the parade.
With so many people in one place it was a great opportunity to add some strangers to my project.
I was taking some street shots before the parade started and saw a group of people standing under an Ulster flag. As I took the picture a lady bobbed under the flag to be included in the picture and gave me a nice smile as I took the picture.
After I'd took the picture , I nodded at the lady and thanked her. I then decided she might make a nice stranger. So I walked over to the group and asked her if I could photograph her.
Meet Kathleen, who'd traveled from County Tyrone to take part in the Nottingham celebrations.
I took several pics of Kathleem asking her to raise the brim of her her hat a little so she had some nice light on her face.
I gave Kathleen one of my cards and told her to email me if she wanted some copies of the pictures.
"I'm not very good at technical things " said Kathleen
"Will the pictures be free of charge" said Kathleen
"Of course" I said
I shook Kathleen's hand and wished her a great Saint Patrick's Day.
Thanks for being stranger 162 Kathleen.
