Irene is a member of my camera club, Arnold and District Camera Club.
A really nice lady, who always smiles and has a lovely way with people.
I first photographed Irene when I started trying my hand at portraits back in 2014, when I did my 50 mono portraits with a 50mm lens project. In fact I photographed her by the very same wall outside the community centre where camera club meets.
I also photographed Irene last year when I first started using vintage lenses on my Sony A6000.
Tonight, at camera club, I asked Irene , if I could photograph her to test my vintage Industar И-61 53mm f2.8 lens.
Irene laughed and said "Up against the wall again is it Phil"
"Yes please Irene"
The lens, is fast becoming my favourite vintage lens alongside the Helios 44M-4 58mm. There's something special about manually focussing a Russian lens from the communist era on a modern camera, They are all wonderful pieces of engineering and of the highest quality.
I am sure you will all agree that the lens has done a great job of photographing Irene.
I remember Irene from your previous shot. And who can forget such a lovely smiling face. Glad she is always read to help. Having said that I think this is a special great portrait shot. You don't find lenses in charity shops here, otherwise I might be tempted to copy you after I see your pictures with those vintage lenses.
