Industar 50-2 shot with a Vintage Lens (Fujinon 55mm f1.8)

In my previous shot of Ruby I said I would post a picture to show how small the Industar 50-2 pancake lens is.

I've placed a 1-00 GBP coin against the lens, so you can see how small it is . For none Brit viewers the GBP is about the same size as a one Euro. In fact 1-00 GBP is almost the same value as 1 euro now, such is the dramatic fall in exchange rates since the British electorate voted to leave the EU.

This was shot with a Fujinon 55mm f1.8 M42 mount lens on my Sony A6000. The lens has Electron Beam Coating (how cool a name is Electron Beam Coating !!!!!)

If you look at the Industar markings (view large) you can see the first two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture, which in this case it is a lens from 1981 , The little symbol in the lens indicates it was manufactured at the KMZ factory in Russia. I you look carefully you will see the aperture ring adjustment is actually inside the barrel by the glass
Well it looks pretty cute .. not knowing how big your pound coin is but both look pretty small .. now lets see a photo taken with the lens ..
