Church of God of Prophecy, Arnold, Nottingham

I tried to do a full shot of this church, but the church is closed, the gates to the grounds are locked and I can therefore only shoot the top half of it.

According to the stonework above the door, the church dates back to 1900.

The building is quite beautiful, but does look in need of a bit of TLC.

I edited the photo in GIMP and had to straighten some minor converging verticals, I also bumped up the contrast and textures a tad to create a bit of drama.

Beautiful. The ornate details are really emphasized with this crop.

It’s very pretty. I’d like to see the full shot when you’re able.

Feels so long since I stepped inside a church building now! Amazing to think how things have changed this past year. Classic piece of early 20th century architecture. I like the reflected greens in the windows too.
