St Pauls Church, Daybrook by phil_howcroft

St Pauls Church, Daybrook

This is the rear of St Pauls Church, Daybrook

It is hard to photograph as there are lampost and railings in front of it and you cannot step back as you would be stood in the middle of the A60, a major trunk road connecting Nottingham to Mansfield

This is shot from across the road and shows the top of the church building. There is an impressive steeple to the right

Shot with my Sony RX100 VII and edited in GIMP. I corrected the converging vertical and thought mono would be a nice way to present the photo

beautifully symmetrical and such gorgeous architecture

Nicely captured!!

I like this even more than yesterday's picture, Phil. Could be b&w has brought out more details than the coloured one. Besides there is more to see at the rear than at the front.

So sharp - wonderful

so wonderful--looks like you are high up to get that nice front!

That’s great- the converged vertical correction is very successful.

I like this black and white image. Good to see the other side of the church.

lovely detail brought out in the building. Isn't it annoying when you can't get the shot you want for things in the way. But this works.

Hey Phil! Just checking in on you as we haven't seen you in a week. Hope all is well. This shot really suits mono, brings out the textures and decor so well.
