Our granddaughter Willow wearing a bonnet, not quite an Easter Bonnet, but a bonnet with a story.
It was knitted by my late mothers neighbour and friend Carol, from Bolton, who is an enthusiastic knitter and has sent several parcels of knitwear to Claire and Matt. A baby can open up extended networks of support and friendship .
This was shot on my compact Sony RX100 VII, it's a cracking camera for sure. The auto eye focus locked onto Willow's nearest eye.
If I am knit picking as opposed to knitting (see what I did there !!!), I should have spotted the dribble from Willow's mouth and wiped it away before I took the shots. This was shot using the natural light from our front window.
I've been struggling for content to upload during the extended lockdown . We follow the lockdown rules and stay local. I've haven't been into Nottingham during 2021, despite it being less than 4 miles from home.
It's a lovely photo Phil, what a beautiful baby. I like the sound of your new camera. Well done you for staying out of the town. I went into St Neots on Tuesday for a dentist appointment, it felt strange, very few people, car parks almost empty. Makes me wonder if we ever needed to do all that shopping we used to do!
Willow is a gorgeous baby Phil.....you must be a very devoted grandad....grandchildren change your life! She will be so glad you took all those photos when she grows up!
Quite a timeless shot Phil - lovely. We walked around Cambridge today as Adam was feeling a bit better and it was RAMMED with visitors - some definitely not locals (which is allowed if they’re not staying over of course). We’ll be giving it a wide berth but I don’t feel too stressed as I’m vaccinated and we’re outdoors- I’m feeling that opening the shops and museums etc will actually disperse people more - everybody is on the streets at the moment.
@denful yes everyone says the dribble is a must :)
@judithg thanks judith I am really pleased with this . Some of the urban municipal parks in the city resembled "festival scenes" this week...people were only following boris's "fresh air" advice / instructions !
