We bought a 'big pumpkin' from Lidl, £1-49 bargain.
We've made soup from the contents and the seeds are going to the birds , google tells me that Pumpkin seeds are rich in protein, iron and zinc and contain essential fatty acids which help to lower cholesterol levels. "The extra good news is that no preparation is needed – the seeds can just be scooped out of the pumpkin rind and added to a bird feeder or a dish
WE only have smiling pumpkins in the Howcroft house , my carvings , showing my creative side !
Excellent - what a super image. I remember only too well the smell of burning swede, back in the day when you carved a swede (with great difficulty and pain), put a lit candle in it, and punched a hole for string in the sides to carry it around with you when you went out guising. Ah. Happy memories!
I’m having a hard time, deciding who has the bigger smile! Fantastic photo of you and your friend Phil! Good to know you are using all of the pumpkins so well
