100 Strangers : Round 5 : No. 440 : M

It was Notts Pride today, always a great event to photograph, a diverse and inclusive event with lots of people happy to be photographed.

It is a really difficult event to get a stranger photo though, as it is so busy, people move fast and getting a backstory is challenging.

Anyway, the parade had finished and the event continued across the city with the main events taking place in and around Sneinton market.

It was in the Sneinton Lanes, that I saw M with another young lady.

I thought M’s outfit and hair were amazing, so I approached both ladies for a photo.

They agreed that M would pose for me and I asked her to stand beside a tent as it created a blank canvas.

I asked M if the other girl (Kirsten according to M’s insta’ account) was her partner.

M told me they were girlfriends and had been together for two and a half years.

I took a few photos and asked permission to post to Instagram / social media.

M looked me up on Insta’ and added me as a friend.
