Caught this match yesterday at Belton House; it's Belton Park CC versus another CC. I think, from what I could tell from the scoreboard, Belton were fielding.
I explained what I could to Carole on the over proces; having a fast bowler and a slow bolwer at each end, to 'flummox' the batsmen. I served in the Army with an incredibly talented cricketer (who represented the Corps, Army and Combined Services in his career (whompossibly could have turned Pro)) who told me once that when you have your eye in, the ball "is the size of a beach ball) - that's why batsmen get out so early, or after lunch or tea.
Something very very British about Cricket in the Summer sun.
Wonderful game. I enjoy the contest between bowler and batsman, tactical field placings and all that goes along with the game. Great action shot of the bowler in mid-stride.
