Just playing; macro filters and a mirror together with one of the many fruits I can't eat. Things I do for art eh?
Actually found this quite difficult. Mirror out of bathroom, laid it on kitchen worktop (having polished it) and then moved around (and moved the cherry) the work area so I could only get it and its reflection and precisely nothing else, in the shot.
Really tempted to eat the cherry (I love them, but they no longer like me)
Anyway, any tip to help me improve the shot are welcome (I've got a punnet of cherries in the fridge that I can't eat)
Not bad on black if you Have the time and inclination.
I like this.
What white balance setting did you use?
Try a white reflector ( I use card) so you get brighter than grey or use +\- setting to overexpose background.
To have equal focus a larger fstop would work.
Avoid the cherries, N. ate some yesterday and had her ears ringing and itching and tongue felt 'big'!!!!
A nice shot Phil 🙂
Have you a mirror you can use in your white box to take the grey out of the background and/or focus on the reflection to confuse the viewpoint.
Great photo. You could be product photographer. Love the composition, how the cherry and its reflection join together. May I ask how you lit it? My only suggestion would be to possibly add a touch of fill light on the front of the cherry. But just a tiniest bit. It's a fav for me how it is.
