Gatehouse to Lanhydrock House

On our way out of Cornwall today, we diverted to Lanhydrock House, an Elizabethan manor house (though history records a house standing on this site sice the 1700s). It has been owned by the National Trust since it was given to them in 1953.

I can remember being dragged around this place as a child in the 70s by my Parents and Grandparents (and a few more NT properties in Cornwall) when it was raining (and many times when it was wasn't)

A stunning property and gardens. Well worth the membership fee

One thing I love about 365 is discovering NT properties I have not yet visited and getting ideas for future holidays! Lovely shot.

Looks like this is straight out of Shakespeare's time, his kings had castles just like this. At least at the theater. Beautiful shot.
