Bradgate Park

Carole and I attended a 'Torchlit Advent Walk' yesterday evening at Bradgate Park. Organised by the Bradgate Park Trust, it was limited to 100 people and consisted of, funny enough, a torchlit walk through the park to the ruins of Lady Jane Grey's family house and a carol service. Tea (well they called it tea) and mince pies were served afterwards.

We then had the opportunity to go into the Grey family Chapel (something I've never had the opportunity to do since arriving in the area in 1981 and Carole hasn't either (and she was born in the area)).

Carole will be able to educate who Lady Jane was, how she came to be Queen, how she is connected to the White Queen (from Phillippa Gregory’s book). I barely know who today’s queen is.

Thanks for your continued follows, views, comments and favs. As always appreciated.

Lovely atmospheric sky, even if it is light pollution from the nearby City of Leicester. It was something nice to be a part of.
