Didn’t notice the hover-fly until I took the picture off the camera. Took this whilst out in the garden hoping the arrows would come over again. They didn’t.
This is one of my new Dahlias and the photograph somewhat serendipitously, shows 3 stages of it flowering.
Composition is very nice. Love it that you got the 3 stages and even an insect. The details and colors in the full bloom are beautifully vibrant. Lovely shot.
