Last of the Magnolia Branch by phil_sandford

Last of the Magnolia Branch

The first storm of the Autumn arrived this morning a little after 9am. With the rain and wind lashing agaisnt my office window, I did a very quick check on all the house windows to ensure that they were closed. Whilst I was in the conservatory checking those windows even over the top of the rain hammering on the glass roof, I heard the tearing of the branch being ripped from the magnolia tree and watched it, almost in slow motion, fall vertically to the lawn.

Guess I'm going to be getting the saw out to deal with this later in the week

Thanks for your continued engagement with my offerings.
Lots of bird feeders… lovely area… looks like you have your work cut out for you with the branch.

Oops, looks like quite a storm. Hope this is your only casualty.

Wow! The wind can be a powerful force. Hope it didn't damage the tree too much.

hopefully you can create mulch and the tree will have vigorous regrowth by next year

Well that’s a “last of” that we don’t like to see. It does look like the tree will be ok. Hope so.
