I love bread making and since Christmas I have made most of the bread we eat. I know what goes into it! and it does not go mouldy unlike shop bought stuff, it lasts for quite a while and then goes stale - ideal for toast or the birds.
Living on baguettes is both expensive and hard on the teeth so we make our own bread but finding wholemeal flour is difficult. This is a good composition of work in progress
@pennystot Mmm! I know what you mean, I once lost a capped tooth with a baguette, as delicious as they are. I am surprised (but of course never needed to look) they do not sell wholemeal flour in the stores, especially when I have seen 'brown' loaves for sale, something else that we found difficult to find when we had a long stay a little while ago, was porridge oats
@ceilidh thank you it is, but today is fast day! and it is there looking at me @quietpurplehaze now that is what I can get David to do when he finally retires, although I must say I am so enjoying it @gigiflower it has become a staple to us now not a luxury, it cheaper and nicer, but I have to fit it into my routine -it takes time @dolphin@ninaganci@carolmw thank you I love doing it -good for the muscles
