We used to go caving in our younger days, and this is one we went down . I hasten to add on dry days. this is very rare to see water in the river bed as most of it runs under ground in the Yorkshire dales. the children loved it. the entrance is under the smaller waterfall and has quite a large cavern.
Love the water. Reminds me of when my youngest returned from an adventure scout trip to France with wet smelly clothes. She'd apparently been caving, when her hips got stuck and they had to push her through, scraped as the water was rising! So glad I didn't know till she was safe at home!!!!
