Pennyghent by pinkpaintpot

Pennyghent

we climbed Attermire scar today and had a look at several cave entrances one of which was Victoria cave. Lovely to have these out of the way places on a bank holiday weekend it was so quiet and peaceful. No need to get on any busy roads and sit in traffic jams. I tried to get a shot of both Ingleborough peak and Pennyghent, but wasn't possible. Penntghent, Ingleborough and Whernside are know as the three peaks and is run by the fell runners, David ran it many years ago. On the side of Ingleborough is a massive pothole called gaping gill and there will be a winch down it this weekend, and lots of people go down. The cavern is said to be big enough to fit St Pauls in to it
great shot
