look what we found

David has removed all the plaster from the walls of the lounge of the house we are renovating. He found this, the old stone housing for the fire range, it is much to big and damaged to save which is a shame . but we shall not remove it just cover it over
Exact,y what we found when we took our old fireplace out. Ours was in good condition & I took 3 tonnes of rubble out by wheelbarrow.......cleaned the stone up with a special machine. Looks fantastic now with a wood burner in place. Write your name & date on the White bit before you cover it up Delia!

@happypat Thanks Pat I will, it is a shame that it is painted and papered in layers and the paint will have soaked into it
@pennystot it is :-)
@annika82 too much money and time to make it not viable, but also the damage

What a shame it can't be saved - but good to keep it perhaps for posterity to find!
