on reflection! by pinkpaintpot

on reflection!

I struggled to choose one of these shots , as the focus was not as perfect as I would have liked, but the sky was stunning, The light you can see in the far distance is probably Ulverston pharmaceuticals factory.
The stone jetty is the little square building and the one on the left is the art deco midland hotel.
three good things;
Sally Greg and Katie are arriving soon for the weekend
another sunny day
The kitchen we bought off ebay was collected yesterday and it just right for our rental house and the bits left over will feed our multi fuel burner for a while

Lovely sky but I think the foreground is a little dark, you might have been able to bring out more detail selecting the dark area and lightening using a levels layer in photoshop if you use it, do you shoot in raw or jpeg?

@micromonkey

I love the red sky and I would likely have taken the easy option of a bit of a crop (top & bottom) of the dark areas!

It is dark and dramatic which made me study the shapes on the horizon more keenly

@micromonkey thank you for your comments, I did debate on cropping but decided against it but have taken yours and Hazels comments on board I only have a little Canon ixus! so dont think raw is an option
