Beautiful colours - that red is stunning and the leaf very striking.

What a wonderful shot. The red is so bright and the detail fabulous on the leaves. Almost good enough to eat.

@creativeamateur @doblaine Thank you, thank you - you can eat it - a bit like spinach (but I don't like either). Sometimes it has a yellow stalk.

This was a great idea. Came out very well.

@quietpurplehaze I like to serve fish on steamed spinach for the texture.

@doblaine Well I'm sure it looks lovely but I'd just have to look at it as it's not just that I don't like spinach but spinach also does not like me!

Oooh, stunning - sooo red! Just a pity I don't really like to eat it! I find it a bit bitter.

@tishpics I don't like it either - best for photos.........

@kbradbury Thank you Kate - yes, it does look like rhubarb but tastes nothing like it!

@pyrrhula Thank you SO much for your comments - and for the interesting info! (I did think carefully about the POV before I took it!)

The red really stands out against the green. It looks so fresh.

@purdey Sharon, thanks for looking and for your comments.

same red beet, truly?
August 16th, 2012
@inspirare Not sure - red beet or beetroot = you eat the root; this is chard and you eat the leaves.
August 16th, 2012
That's a fantastic shot, colours are so vibrant wow.
