A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
@pyrrhula Sort of - I remembered a former pic of Neil wearing this t-shirt and cooking a dinner. But I found the sunflower on the t-shirt had now faded a bit so had to do a bit of processing on the photo!
The fish curry was delicious, not hot, just mellow, not too many ingredients, white fish, red peppers, lime, coconut milk and the spices. This was last night and we drank a bottle of Riesling with it - perfect!
@tishpics Thank you - had to use picmonkey to bring up the orange sunflower a bit as Neil's t-shirt had faded a little! Of course the lighting then turned a bit orange....... Do you mean truly a part of my day because I'm always eating, or because I like sunflowers/!
@purdey Thank you, Sharon. I am quite covetous of this t-shirt of Neil's (from one of his favourite metal bands) so immediately thought of it for orange - did have to tweak the colour a tad as we found the t-shirt 'sunflower' has now faded.
@gnilrets Ray, Neil and I discussed 'orange' over our sausage and chicken casserole last night and decided that as it is actually pronounced 'oringe', it rhymes with twinge, binge, singe, fringe etc.
I checked in my big Collins English Dictionary this morning and found this confirmed by the International phonetic Alphabet given there - can't reproduce it here, sorry! Thanks for making me 'think language' again!
(I used to be an English teacher!)
