crisp (word of the day) seaweed - well, perhaps....
We met a Frenchman on the beach collecting seaweed. I jokingly asked if he was taking it for his dinner and he jokingly replied that he was going to use it for salad. Which was sort of true as it was to be used as fertiliser on his small vegetable garden. He jokingly suggested that I take some in my pocket to try later, which I didn't so I can only surmise that it might be 'crispy'.
I like the colour of the pink variety!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
That`s an old fashion way to fertilise . We grows 2 kinds of sea foods /weeds : `` (sea) zeekraal and lamsoor `` Its vegetable like and I love them. ( Salicornia europaea) (Limonium vulgare)
Love the capture of his work and the colors of the weed

Only just seen this - really nice shot and I am sure it was crispy! It reminds me of when we lived in Belgium, they used to serve up deep fried very crispy parsley with things - it was actually very nice! Perhaps Neil might try it??
@tishpics I'll run it past him at dinner tonight! Which he's cooking - south Indian fish curry (I do cook too!!) I quite like the crispy seaweed in packets from the supermarket. Did you have mayonnaise on yours in Belgium?
