'frosted': walnut coffee cake

Put into a bowl:
3 oz SR flour
1 level tsp baking powder
1 oz porridge oats
4 oz caster sugar
4 oz soft marge
2 oz walnut pieces
2 eggs
Beat all together with an electric mixer
Cook in a 7-8" round tin for 30-40 mins at 160C/325F
Frosting:
one & half oz butter
3 rounded tsps instant coffee dissolved in little hot water
icing sugar
Make frosting, spread over cake and decorate with a few walnut halves or pieces
Yummy!

@pyrrhula This plate is the only piece left of a tea set which belonged to my parents, everything else has got broken. I think it was a bit art deco and the cups were a slightly different shape, angular and with very unusual triangle-shaped handles.

I won`t eat toadstools out of the wilderness, I don`t dare how much they say it`s ok.
So sorry, must have been a lovely set. But if I only get back I`ve broken I can fill up a barn up with it.

@pyrrhula The worst is wine glasses dropping on to a tiled floor. What a mess and so many tiny pieces of glass just everywhere!
