This is a lovely deep velvety red. I grew a lovely red dahlia in our garden a couple of years ago but would not cut them for indoors because of the earwigs!
@purplehaze12 So we can have red dahlias in common too?! My little sister and I used to jump about squealing when the earwigs ran out ot the dahlias - they run so fast!
Lovely flower. My Grandfather grew them to show. I can still see my Grandmother shaking out the earwigs onto a paper. As a child I thought they would crawl in my ear!
@chris17 Well I guess that was a logical thought! I like it here on 365 how these little memories pop up and are shared. My dad used to tell a VERY crummy joke: '"Earwigo" said the earwig as he fell off the wall'
@nicoleterheide There was a whole garden full of them, different colours, shapes and sizes. Photographically, I didn't know where to start, or to finish!
