A rosemary bush in a front garden on our early morning walk today was covered in blue flowers. The sun was shining and the sky was blue with the promise of another lovely day. And now the sky has turned grey and cloudy and the wind is blowing.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Hazel it shows * its the early bird who catches the worm *!! The early morning sun is playing a treat on this twig of rosemary . Great dof - love the bokeh background and the subject so in focus A certain FAV for me Hazel .
Many thanks for your comment and the fav, Beryl. Yes the shot definitely needed the sun. I've had break fast now (it's rare for Jinks and me to get out before breakfast so it was 'early bird' luck!) and now I have to do the supermarket..............
We have a rosemary bush in our garden and 2 in pots! Yes it always makes me think of roast lamb, found a fab recipe a little while ago to roast a whole shoulder or leg & use it always now - you put a little water in a big ovenproof dish, chop up whatever herbs you have (tosemary included!) & put half of them in the water, put the joint of lamb next, then pour over a little olive oil, a little lime juice and drizzle a bit of honey, s&p then scatter the rest of the herbs and cook slowly - works every time!
@quietpurplehaze thank you Hazel found it i have loaded it up on my mem page on my mobile will add it to my freinds list on my O2 acount when i get home tonight .
We have 3 rosemary bushes in our garden and they all have very woody 'branches' but only one is in flower. I think rosemary is a bit 'back to front' as the leaves smell but the flowers don't!
Thanks, yes I love the smell of rosemary! (Roast lamb?!)
Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.

Gerry, this shot must be for you as I know blue is your favourite colour!
