I really liked the fragile shades of this sweet pea in the bunch my friend, Lesley, gave me yesterday so decided to give it a solo treatment.
Walked Jinks before breakfast this morning and was pleased to see a grey sky and feel a cool breeze. The temperature on my car when I went for a routine lithium test (shame I can't power my camera) was 18C rather than 27C: bliss!
Before I sat down here I gave downstairs a bit more than my cursory hoovering routine and had an unexpected moment of happiness to find a lost scarf fallen down the back of the sofa. Mislaying it a few weeks ago was really disappointing as it's in my favourite colours and I bought it from the monks of the Tashi Lhunpo Buddhist Monastery when they gave a song and dance recital at Southampton University.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Darren, I can hardly stop laughing! If you 'shoot' them when they are up against the wall, you'll never get a shot!!!!!!!!!!! Well maybe a wilted sweet-pea one!
Thanks for comments on my pics and for the bee fav! I'm sure it will be hotter in France - it was starting to get really hot as we came home at the beginning of July.
Ooo thank you. I sat in the car coming home from our friends clutching my sweet peas and the idea for this just presented itself. (I should say Ray was driving!)
p.s. I got the purple edge by accident using 'frost' on Picmonkey. Started off wanting to frost the edges of the pic and then found that when I pulled it right out, down to a low %, it actually made a soft frame.
@quietpurplehaze Can you say the name of the yellow flowers, Ferry?
To my best knowledge : Antheum coronarium.
I`ll tell you , first I`ve to do a good translation ( I use a Dutch version )
Beautiful shot Hazel!! Love it!! Fav!! I have been growing sweet peas for the first time and they have finally flowered but I am so disapointed as there is no perfume!! What a let down!! You have given me an idea for my shot today though!! LOL!!
I'm sure today's sweet peas, even when they have a scent, are not as good as when my father used to grow them. Thanks for the comments and fav and I look forward to seeing your today's shot!

I think I'll take it as that, Mary! It's so beautiful in shades of mauve and purple and delicately woven and I was quite upset when it went missing.

Thank you, Julie. It was fantastic to find that scarf!
Very pleased you found your scarf!
Thank you for the fav and yes, it's so nice to find something treasured you thought you'd never see again.
