'f' is nearly for French

I set out for the French Lit group this morning: I've read the book; I really like it; I was looking forward to being back in the group.
About 200 yards down the road: gridlock. I sat in it for 45 mins and had moved less than 2 miles. So I turned round and came home.
'f' is also for flower.
What frustrating experience for you. The lighting and composition of this image are delightful. Wonderful tones too.

Oh so frustrating! This is a lovely still life though, like the soft focus on the book, emphasis' your narrative

Good morning Hazel, what a great shot this is- love your yellows :) I commute a long way to and from my office every day and can really relate to your traffic trouble. F can also sometimes be for FRUSTRATION !!

@tryingforsighs

Oh thank you, Rachel, you just made my day! It was a little opportunist I admit - but that's partly the lure of 365 I think!

The selective use of color really makes this eye catching.

How funny Hazel, I too had to abandon my French class yesterday! The roads were so flooded I just gave up. And I had prepared mes devoirs sur 'le longe-côte' which is something we both might like to take up when next near the sea en France!! Love the image you have arranged here! Will check out the book. I am reading some F Sagan at the mo, Un sourire certain! Nostalgic!

Nice composition. Sorry you didn't make it to where you were going though. That must have been so frustrating.

@tishpics

A coincidence! I really enjoyed Un Aller Simple - loved the style of writing and shall seek out more of van Cauwelaert's books. (No idea how to pronounce his name!) Also into Fred Vargas recently. Sagan is a bit triste, n'est-ce pas?
