Warsash was originally a crab and lobster fishing hamlet, then a boatbuilding location and now a very popular yachting venue. It lies on the east bank of the River Hamble.
This shot somehow has been left in my file, overlooked from my photoshoot with Chris @gooner46 so I'm posting it now.
Along the shore from Warsash to Swanwick is where I once photographed a kingfisher sitting on a post: http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/add-ins/2012-09-24
Every time I visit I have fond dreams of finding another.
Perhaps sometime, when it stops raining, we can have a photoshoot?!
I feel I never will find one, Ferry. They are so small and shy and so elusive except for that one sitting on a post a few years ago.
Claire, you are too kind to me!
