My last shot of those I took at Marwell Zoo of this very rare leopard cub. Mum, Kaia, appears to be inspecting her cub, Kanika's, tail.
One last fact: if you are on the 5:2 diet you are in Amur leopard-diet company. They are fed once a day on meat for 5 days and also have 2 fast days. This mimics the diet they would find in the wild, gorging on prey some days and unable to hunt any to eat on others.
How fascinating that that life style would be repeated in captivity...but it makes sense to maintain their true nature. Your additional information is so good to know about these amazingly exquisite cats! Such beautiful photos, Hazel!
Just shows that diet must be very healthy, gives the body time to recover perhaps...natures way!
Loving your big cats this week Hazel...I have been a bit lax in my commenting this week....busy, busy ! Well done on all these wonderful comments!
Pat, thank you. I had no idea when I went looking for the Amur leopard cub that I would get all these shots, or even catch a glimpse of her! Lucky day!
You've really captured the mother's personality in these pictures. Looks like all kitties are cousins, no matter how big or how big the claws. The Oklahoma City Zoo, where I volunteered many years ago, followed the same feeding plan with their big cats. I suspect it's common practice.
Such a beautiful cat. Love all the detail you captured. Interesting information about their feeding, like in the wild. FAV I sure hope I can capture some wonderful photos like you with my new camera. Working on movement right now as most things that move come out blurry, have not figured out how to set for macros yet also and need to figure out how to set to auto and work towards auto.
@quietpurplehaze Ooops, I meant to say work towards manual not auto above. I got a thin paper manual with my camera and a disk as well. Thank you so very much for the link. WIll check it out right now.
@quietpurplehaze I got a 39 page small manual with my camera. Is that what you got when you ordered yours on the link above? It is also in Spanish if I flip my manual over. It does not give me a lot of information.
The manual you'll get from the link is approx the size of a novel and 220 pages long, deals with all features of the camera. I got the link from our photography tutor.

Darlene did you get a paper manual with your camera - or just a disk for the computer? I bought one printed http://www.oldtimercameras.com/panasonic/?gclid=CJTExMCn5cACFcsBwwodZI8ACw
